For Mama Ku I worked with musicians Wayan Pitriana and Krishna Sutedja on the first day recording samples and phrases with Krishna's gamelan instruments and Vivi's (Wayan) voice. A majority of the score ended up being tuned to Krishna's instruments including the additional synthesizers and layered one-shats that I added later in the studio when working on the compositions.
The theatre piece was also accompanied by a documentary which I scored with new pieces but also adaptations of existing work I already developed with Cheroney in the past.
